Annual report preparation and filing

We prepare and file annual reports with the Estonian Business Register for companies, non-profits and foundations, including when someone else keeps the day-to-day books. A small company's report usually takes 2–4 hours.

What preparing the report includes

To prepare the report, we check and verify the general ledger balances, reconcile and confirm balances, post year-end entries (adjusting balances where needed), amend tax returns if necessary, and then prepare the report and send it to management and the owners for review, with explanations.

If needed, we go through the figures with management before the annual report is signed and filed.

Audited annual report

For companies that must be audited, the fee depends on the actual amount of work, including gathering the materials, dealing with the auditor and answering their questions. To see whether your company needs an audit or a review, check the audit and review thresholds.

Filing the report with the Business Register – deadline

The annual report must be filed with the Business Register within six months of the end of the financial year, so by 30 June if your financial year is the calendar year. The filing obligation applies even if the company was dormant. The report is filed in the e-Business Register and signed by the management board; we prepare it so that all you need to do is sign and file. Who has to file, how it works in the e-Business Register and what happens if you are late: filing the annual report in Estonia. What the report says about your company: the annual report as your business card.
